It Wins You With a Glance

New DTM guest post: "Stompin' at Minton's" by Miles Okazaki.

I'm amazed at the structural analysis; Miles finds all sorts of cool stuff in there that I never would have seen myself.  I'm reminded of Steve Coleman unpacking Charlie Parker. This make sense: Like Coleman, Okazaki's own music is full of detailed compositional concepts. Check out some Okazaki science at milesokazaki.com.
