Born in 1935, Steve has spent a life making music in every conceivable fashion and style. Jazz fans know him best as the drummer on Duke Ellington's masterful elegy for Strayhorn, ...And His Mother Called Him Bill. But he was also responsible for most of the grooves on early Sesame Street and The Electric Company.
